Dr. Topete was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ. He attended ASU where he obtained his B.S. in biology. He then entered the University of Arizona College of Medicine and graduated in 1992 with an M.D. degree. He then preceded to complete his Internal Medicine Residency at Saint Joseph Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ in 1995. Dr. Topete started working in the field of addiction medicine in 1994. He fell in love with the patient population and the science of addiction. He is board certified by the ABAM (the American Society of Addiction Medicine). Dr. Topete understands his patient’s individual needs and dedicates himself to giving them the best. HE is committed to having open communication with referring professionals and the clinical team so that everyone is on the same page throughout the healing process.

Patricia Plum, MSW, LCSW holds a Bachelor’s Degree, along with her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Arizona State University. Patricia has worked at both in inpatient and outpatient clinics, serving in both private and group settings. Patricia has worked with both families and individuals, addressing family of origin issues, childhood and adult trauma, addiction, relational issues, and mental health issues. Her areas of training include: Post Induction Therapy, Experiential Therapy, and EMDR. Patricia’s passion lies in helping to bring education, collaboration, and insight to encourage healing and hope. Patricia believes healing is within everyone and it is through education, exploration, and practice that transformation is created. Patricia has sat on the board of two non-profits, Arizona Second Chance and Soul Sanctuary, supporting transition from prison, drug abuse, and domestic violence. Currently Patricia owns and practices as a therapist with Imagine Therapy, PLLC and is collaborating with local schools to increase educator’s awareness of trauma and enrich the lives of students. Patricia is the VP and Co Founder of a non profit organization A Place For Hannah that supports woman coming out of Prison and off the streets. This organization helps funds low income housing. finances opportunities to help woman become gainfully employed.
Dr. Andersen’s clinical interests include working with children, adolescents, adults, active-duty service members and Veterans, geriatrics, diagnostic assessment, and addictions. Previous positions include Clinical Director for two substance abuse treatment centers, Director of Social Services for an acute and long-term care community hospital, and Emergency Room Medical Social Worker. She currently has specialty certification in Clinical Trauma Specialist-Individual & Trauma and Addiction, Clinical Supervisor, and Bereavement Counseling. Dr. Andersen utilizes a broad range of cognitive behavioral and insight-oriented techniques in the psychotherapy and counseling process. Her research and publications include adolescents diagnosed with ADHD, psychometrics, and grant writing to obtain personal protective equipment for an emergency room. In addition to her professional endeavors, Dr. Andersen enjoys spending quality time with her husband and six children.
Alta Langdon is a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in family practice and psychiatric mental health care. She has more than 14 years of experience and extensive training in physical and mental health assessments, psychopharmacology, and evidenced-based treatments for medical and mental health conditions.
In addition to a family medicine and mental healthcare background, Alta is experienced in the treatment of substance use disorder and serious mental illness . She uses a combination of modalities to help patients meet their goals. Alta’s career has journeyed through hospitals, community- based clinics, correctional and juvenile detention institutions, and centers for education. She understands and is accepting of complex family, social and cultural dynamics.
Beyond her work in medicine and mental healthcare , Alta’s pride is built around her dedication to her children, family, and the community she serves.
Brian was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ. He attended college at John Brown University where he played rugby while obtaining a B.S. degree in Construction Management and a M.S. in Business Leadership and Ethics in 2009. During that time, he was simultaneously enrolled in the local community college where he obtained an A.A.S. in both Fire Science and Paramedicine, graduating as valedictorian of his cohort. He then pursued his dream of joining the Phoenix Fire Department in 2011. While working as a firefighter/paramedic, Brian continued his education by earning his B.S. in Nursing at Grand Canyon University. Brian spent 5 years working as an Emergency Department RN where he continued to grow and learn. He obtained many specialized nursing credentials including CCRN, CEN, TCRN, and others. Almost inevitably, he chose to return to school. He completed is M.S. as a Nurse Practitioner in 2021 through the University of Phoenix and has been a practicing Family Nurse Practitioner for the past 2 years with a small private practice of his own, as well as another healthcare company. He currently still works full time as a Captain Paramedic for the Phoenix Fire Department while working part time as a FNP-C.
In late 2022, Brian had the opportunity to combine his skills, education and passions with the creation of Turning Point Healing Centers. His experience working in the field as a paramedic and in the Emergency Room as a RN has show him how big of a need there is for adolescent behavioral health care. With the support of his family and friends, Brian was able to find and hire highly skilled and competent staff to support his vision of providing world class behavioral health care to adolescents who are struggling. He seeks to provide the absolute best healthcare providers, therapists, staff, facilities, and treatment program options to families who need help.
Patrick Buehl is an accomplished individual who has dedicated his life to assisting others along their journey of recovery. Currently serving as the Executive Director at Turning Point Healing Centers, Patrick’s passion for helping others and his unwavering commitment to client care have made him an invaluable asset to the organization. Having resided in Arizona since 1998, Patrick has become deeply rooted in the community and has witnessed firsthand the profound impact that addiction and mental health struggles can have on individuals and their loved ones. This personal connection has fueled his determination to make a positive difference in the lives of those affected.

Taylor is a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and registered dietitian nutritionist. She has dedicated her career to counseling and pursuing policy change around weight stigma and eating disorder care in Arizona. She has a private practice in Chandler, Arizona where she works with adolescents and adults, seeing mostly patients with diagnosed eating disorders. She enjoys working in partnership with her clients to help them heal their relationship with food, exercise, their bodies and by extension, themselves.
She practices from a weight inclusive, Health at Every Size lens -emphasizing the importance of patient centered care, rather than the medical norm of weight centric care. I strongly believe that weight is only one piece of the puzzle, & not something to try to “control”.
With a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and experience as a teacher, I bring a unique blend of academic knowledge and a passion for helping young minds flourish. I am dedicated to providing a supportive and enriching learning environment for adolescents. I am committed to tailoring my teaching methods to suit individual and group needs, ensuring that each student receives the attention and guidance they require to succeed academically. By fostering a positive and nurturing atmosphere, I aim to empower students to embrace learning and embrace their educational journeys. Through patience, encouragement, and a genuine passion for education, I am dedicated to helping adolescents at Turning Point reach their full potential and prepare them for a bright future.
